I'd put a pic of mine, but I'm to ashamed.  But, after paying only 900 for it, I guess I shouldn't complain.  Still gets me around.  We'll have to go for a ride when I'm there in March.  I just hope it's nice enough to bring it.

Honda Gold Wings are very nice and quiet touring motorcycles.  However if you are going to buy a V-Twin "Harley wanna-be" Honda, you should save your money and buy the Harley.  It will hold it's value.

Hold its value and require a lot more work and time in the shop.

Mine has never been in the shop other than to add accessories or for regularly scheduled maintenance.

Harley wannabe?

...alright.

I won't go there.  You keep your Harleys and enjoy them.  They aren't for me.

Last fall I rented a dressed out Harley in Kc and rode to St. Louis to a rock concert.  (even took the wife)  I had a Heritage...it was a nice bike and harley's are great but they aren't for everyone.  They are not for me.  It rode pretty rough...I guess that what it is supposed to do...I would rather have a Boulevard.

Really?  It rode rough?  Are you sure it wasn't just the Misery Highways?  Our Harley (many moons ago) was actually very comfy - even though it was not a dresser anymore.  Ex hubby had extended the front fork and chopped it up a bit.  I fell asleep on the back of that bike a couple of times.  When my helmet hit the top of the sissy bar, it woke me right up, though!!!

Bubba it looks like a sweet ride.  I have not bought a bike yet but have finally convinced my wife to let me have one.  Now I just need to find something I like.

If I had to do it all over again, I would probably get a Heritage Softail.

I would probably go with the electra glide classic.  I like the fatboy also but they are in different categories of bikes.  For a longer rip I think the electra glide would be nice.  Next time I take a trip like that I'm going to rent the glide and try it out.
